Worship & the Arts Ministry Team

Our Worship and The Arts Ministry Team creates services for the liturgical year that engage all of the senses.  We use visual art, poetry, music, and spoken word to provide an immersive experience of the holy.  We see art as a portal to God.

Our music ministry is highlighted by our vibrant and active choir, who openly share their gifts each week.

Bridgeport United Church of Christ is, as one member says, liturgically adventuresome. Through innovative worship, we celebrate the witness of Jesus the Christ, honor the creation, and yield to the call of justice.

In these pandemic times, we’ve developed a hybrid worship experience that includes everyone equally, whether they are in the sanctuary or on Zoom. 

We gather each week in authentic community, supporting one another.  We value diversity in all its forms; identity, theology, and practice. As the United Church of Christ says, “No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here”!
