Bridgeport Community Garden: Food for the People - Going Strong in 2025
Make it stand out
Here at Bridgeport UCC, we strive to keep our focus on the community. In 2025, our community continues to grow strong. This holds true for one of our most important projects, the Bridgeport Community Garden. Garden beds are cared for by neighbors, housed and unhoused, by local nonprofits, a nearby church, and members of our own community. It has been providing food for our neighborhood for three years.
On March 2, 2025, our garden team gathered with volunteers with Portland Edible Gardens, who led a workshop on beginning the planting season. It is with great joy that we announce that there will be monthly workshops, every 4 weeks on Monday at 2:00 pm. Feel free to join us if you'd like to learn how to manage an edible garden, or to simply help.
If you are interested in joining our garden team, please send an inquiry by clicking the email address below and let us know. Browse our then and now gallery below to see how our community garden has evolved over the years.
Additionally, if you are interested in sponsoring a garden box, we have one more available. This is free of charge. Be a part of this community movement and help provide Food for the People today.
