Youth pastor explains the sermon in "short attention span" format

We love kids.

All children are welcome and encouraged to spend at least part of every service in worship with the whole community. We have a special children’s time during the service, and we make it as kid-friendly as possible. There is a living room area in the sanctuary with comfortable chairs for parents and rugs for the little ones to play on. There are also kid’s activity bags available at the rear of the church.

The congregation is pretty great about noisy babies and children, but when parents feel they need to leave the sanctuary, they can slip into the quiet room with their kids and listen through the speakers there.

Childcare

We have a great area set aside for our nursery room. At this time we do not have a child care person in the nursery on Sunday mornings. If you are available to help, or know of someone you can recommend, please contact Alan Claassen, or someone on the Education Team.

Sunday School

Our Sunday school classes are offered as they are needed, with class beginning after the children’s time during the regular service. We believe that our children’s program should be about three basic things:

  1. Helping each child to develop their own relationship with God, one that matures with them as they grow.
  2. Teaching the Bible stories so the kids become Biblically literate.
  3. Having fun and being creative.
